Dear Friends,Sunday Services and things coming up......Here is my regular round up of what is happening at All Saints. The readings are:Exodus 33.12-end, 1 Thessalonians 1.1-10 and Matthew 22.15-22For those coming to the church building please remember hands, face and space! Our team of stewards are doing a wonderful job of looking after us all, please follow their instructions.Sunday Zoom Coffee and Chat 11.45amTomorrow morning Penny Pullan will be hosting a social time on zoom after the morning service from 11.45am for anyone who wants to drop in to say hello and catch up. If you would like to know more or get involved please have a chat with her tomorrow or drop her a line on curateemily@allsaintsloughborough.org.ukDustbusting on SaturdayWith the chancel restoration project now underway and our building closed Monday to Friday we really do need to gather some willing people to help hoover and dust on a Saturday morning. Penny White has done a fantastic job of staying on top of church cleaning in covid secure ways and is happy to now move her weekly dust busting to Saturdays at 9.30am. Can you come along and help her? Please just bring your enthusiasm any Saturday morning. With many hands it can be done in half an hour or so which will mean those wishing to visit for prayer from 10.00am are free to do so uninterrupted. Loughborough Streets of LightLoughborough Churches Partnership is inviting us to take part in this initiative to spread a message of light through decorations in our windows during the week of 26th October. Do take a look at the website and think about taking part and if you do make a decoration let us know too. http://www.loughboroughstreetsoflight.comI am having a week's leave from tomorrow, hoping to do some autumnal walking and make my Christmas pudding although sadly not with my grandson as planned due to covid restrictions. As the nights draw in and we all face disappointments and frustrations of things not being as we would like them to be, I do hope you are able to find little moments of joy and hope in the small things of life each day. For me this evening it is the launch of Strictly Come Dancing! But of course it also too knowing that I am part of an inclusive, creative and prayerful Chrisitan community. Yours in ChristRevd Wendy
Dear Friends,I shall be sending you my usual Saturday bulletin tomorrow but this is a quick update about Saturday opening at the church building, a new Saturday service starting and our response to the latest covid tier system....From tomorrow will shall not be offering Morning Prayer in the church at 9.00am, it will continue to be led by a member of the ministry team from Facebook. The church instead will open at 10am as usual for quiet prayer and visitors.Tomorrow and the following Saturday (17th and 24th October) the church will stay open until 2pm. From October 31st onwards church opening for visitors, private prayer and drop in will finish at 12pm. Then at 12pm there will be a new service from the Book of Common Prayer, communion or a service of the word, led by a member of the ministry team. This service will be approximately half an hour and will be particularly for those who are in the vulnerable category in terms of coronavirus, either through age or because of a pre-existing medical condition. I will say more about this in my bulletin tomorrow.Lastly, I want to reassure you that we continue to stay abreast of all the guidance and rules coming from the government and the Church of England and will amend our practices as needed. Currently the advice is that even if we are put into the tier three category in Loughborough, gathering for worship remains unaffected so long as suitable risk assessments are in place. I do however understand that each person will need to make their own decision on what it is sensible for them to do. I don't want anyone to feel obliged to attend services in the church building. If your own circumstances have changed due to the news of a rise in the virus and you are now keeping yourself more isolated please do let me know so we can make every effort to keep you connected to your church family. And lastly although our daily pattern of prayer is solely online again please be reassured of the ongoing prayers of this church. If you have something particular you would like the ministry team to be praying for as they lead this rhythm of prayer in our parish please email:prayer@allsaintsloughborough.org.uk or call me on 01509 268362.Prayer requests will be shared with all those who lead the daily prayer online service. You can mark your request in one of three ways:Confidential - the ministry team will hold you before God in silenceAnonymous - the situation will be mentioned but no namesNamed - the ministry team will pray for you or the situation by nameMore from me tomorrow 🙂Revd Wendy

Dear Friends,Tomorrow we are marking Harvest Festival and Creation Sunday. You are invited to bring gifts to church today, between 10 and 2 or with you to the service tomorrow. Fresh produce is welcome and will be donated to Fearon Hall for community soup making. Or please bring non perishable food items that we will be donating to our local food bank. The service will be live streamed on our Youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNymtzHV8G_EfZprXch9RIg going live around 10.15am. We are aware we had some sound issues last week - hopefully things will be better tomorrow but we are a work in progress so thank you for your patience! Our Children's Choir will be with us tomorrow, the first time singing together live since March! Our service will have an all age feel so I do hope those with young children will feel able to come along and feel confident of a warm welcome from all of us. It is very challenging taking children to church with all the restrictions at the minute! We really value the presence of children in our church family so from now on the first Sunday of the month will return to being an all age Celebration Communion where hopefully we can make it a little easier for families to come and worship together. The order of service for tomorrow should be up on the website later on today. Please check back later. The rest of our church news is in the October Herald which is out now!!!
