Church of England Diocese of Norwich Lingwood

About Us

Welcome to St Peters Church website

The church is situated on the edge of the village, has weekly services, and is regularly used for baptisms, weddings, funerals and other special services. Kitchen and toilet facilities are in the attached church centre. There is also a meeting room  available for hire by yourself or a group, please contact our booking secretary telephone number 01603 714392.

We have  a group especially for younger people which meets in church on the 3rd Sunday of each month.

The church  building is usually open from 9am to 3pm GMT and 4pm BST.

The congregation consists of a mixed age group of people from a variety of backgrounds.

You would be most welcome to join us on our journey with Jesus.

See our Facebook page for recent wedding and baptism photographs

The annual sponsored cycle ride will be held on Saturday 8th September 2018. Why not get on your bike to cycle round our glorious countryside and raise some money for our own local churches and the Norfolk Churches Trust? If you are a keen walker you can walk (or even drive!) rather than cycling if you prefer and some people are sponsored to sit in the churches (Lingwood only) and sign cyclists and walkers in.

If you have any questions or want a sponsor form please contact:-

For Lingwood Pat Moss 713841

For South Burlingham Ann Glover 436629

For Strumpshaw forms will be at the back of church or ask Ann Varley

Looking ahead to Advent, (and Easter) is there anyone who would be willing to coordinate The Real Advent Calendar (and the real Easter Egg). For a number of years, David and Heather have done this, but are looking for someone else to take this on. These products help tell the real Christmas and Easter message amidst the commercialism of the seasons. It involves taking the orders, ordering the products, getting them to people across the benefice, and dealing with the money. Talk to David and Heather if you are interested. If no one comes forward we will probably leave it to individuals to buy their own through mail order or the supermarkets that stock them.
