The Ascension Church is a happy, welcoming church in the beautiful area of Blackheath. Our faith in the good news of Jesus is lived in our commitment to social justice and human rights. We are proud to be signed up members of Inclusive Church and we offer a truly open welcome to all.
Our worship uses inclusive language based on Common Worship. Our Sunday morning worship is a family-friendly Holy Communion service.
The type of worship varies slightly according to the date and festival: some Sundays are all-age worship, others have Sunday school.
Once a month our excellent adult choir joins us to sing an introit and anthem. Please see the church website for full details.
We run Messy Church on the third Sunday of the month at 4pm, which is an informal service with crafts, food, worship and fun!
