What’s Happening at St Michaels Aston Tirrold during the Covid-19 restrictions

Greetings from the clergy and all from St Michaels and All Saints churches in the Astons. We wanted to let you know what is happening here and the other churches in the Churn Benefice. While the church buildings are closed, the church community continue to be very active.

On line and email activities. Services, The weekly Churn newsletter, The Rector’s Daily Reflections. The website contains instructions of how to upload the GoToMeeting App and useful information about how to get support during this crisis. The weekly Churn newsletter and the Readings for the next Sunday are posted on the website on Fridays.

FellowshipGroup All welcome to join us for our next Fellowship group session on Wednesday 3 June at 7:30pm. Thinking about Climate Change and our responsibilities as Christians to care for God’s gift of Creation, we are going to discuss what it means to be an Eco church.

Thy Kingdom Come 21-31May This is a national scheme, since gone global, initiated by our archbishops about 4 years ago. It runs from Ascension Day to Pentecost Sunday. The aim is to encourage us to pray for the coming of God's Kingdom both in general terms and also for friends and family members to come to know God in Jesus Christ.

The Churn MU are making Thank You cards to people who have been making special efforts to help others and Greetings cards to some who may feel isolated. over 120 cards have been sent and an amazing £740 has been received from sponsorship If you think of a name, let me know, and the sponsorship fund is still open! On Line

On-Line Services will take place at 10.30 am on every Sunday whilst our church buildings are closed. The services are interactive with several people participating and there is an opportunity to talk to others for 30 minutes before the service and after the servicce.
