"After 38 very happy years in Cadmore End during which time they have brought up their 3 children here, David & Judith Crichton are moving temporarily to Priestley's Farm B&B in Bolter End until such time as their new permanent home, Wycliffe Retirement Village, Horsleys Green is complete and ready to move into. They tell us that they feel privileged to have lived in the Village for all this time and to have been part of what has always been a thriving, friendly Community. They assure us that they have every intention of remaining in touch with...and part of... the Village and, as far as possible....to remain part of the Community ( i.e Church, Village Hall Social events, Carol Singing(?) etc etc

We wish their successors in South Fields, Shakeel & Zoofsha Adli & their young family every happiness and success. It will probably be a while before they move in (?) as they have projected building works to complete. I'm sure, being the friendly Village we are, we/you will make them welcome."

We are pleased to welcome Natasha Hunt from Stokenchurch who has now moved into Thistle Do.

And our thanks to Alice Blythe for the magnificent “Cake Shack” outside the White House which has provided interest and delicious cakes to locals and walkers.

Community Matters-Lane End Foodbank and support team

Delivery dates for September are Fridays 9th and 23rd. Please continue to leave donations in the Church or church porch on the Thursday before or up to 10am on the Friday.

Message from the team “please relay our heartfelt thanks to the Cadmore End people who donate both goods and money.”

Monetary donations to the Community Matters separate bank account (monthly or one off) can be made). With increasing energy bills, this is another area where help is given. Some of us pensioners donate the government winter fuel allowance to charities and will consider doing the same with any “energy” payment to pensioners. The Community Matters Team will use any monetary gifts to help the local needy.
