Opening
We have services on Sundays at 8am and 10.30am and the church is open before, during and after those gatherings. We are also open on Wednesday evenings when we hold our Vespers gathering at 7.30pm. We are hoping to begin a £2.9 million renovation of the church in early 2020 and hope to have the building open throughout the week beginning early 2021. In the meantime - outside of our service times and other arts and community events - you can visit the church by special appointment by contacting the church office.
Getting here
St Mary's is the oldest building in Walthamstow and the heart of Walthamstow's historic core (now a Conservation Area). We are located between the Monoux Almshouses and the Ancient House - a short walk to Walthamstow Village and less than a 10-minute walk to Walthamstow Central station and a short walk to Wood Street station. We have very limited parking and encourage you to come by foot, bicycle or public transport if possible.
