Weddings at All Saints Church, Stisted
Two people, one beautiful promise, and a whole lifetime of love ahead. What a wonderful reason to celebrate!
Congratulations on your engagement!
Whether you're dreaming of a traditional church wedding, a wonderful celebration surrounded by family and friends, or something smaller and more intimate, we'd be delighted to help you explore getting married at All Saints Stisted.
Our beautiful village church has witnessed generations of love stories, and there is something rather special about beginning married life in a place that has been at the heart of the community for centuries.
We would love to be part of yours.
Can we get married at All Saints?
You don't need to be a regular churchgoer, have all the answers about faith, or consider yourself particularly religious to explore having a church wedding.
If you live in Stisted or one of our surrounding parishes, or have a qualifying connection with All Saints, you may be eligible to marry here.
There are some legal requirements for marrying in a Church of England church, but please don't let that put you off enquiring. We're very happy to talk through the possibilities and help you understand what is involved.
And if either of you has been married before, please don't assume that a church wedding isn't possible. We are happy to explore marriage in church following divorce, and the vicar will arrange a friendly, confidential conversation with you about your circumstances.
Our starting point is always kindness, welcome and a genuine desire to help.
A wedding that's wonderfully yours
Every couple is different, and your wedding should reflect the people you are and the love you share.
A church wedding is about far more than a beautiful building or a lovely photograph. It's an opportunity to make promises to one another, surrounded by the people who matter most, and to ask God's blessing on the life you are beginning together.
We will help you think about the music, readings, prayers and all those personal touches that make your service meaningful and memorable.
There is room for joy, laughter, happy tears and all the wonderful emotions that come with celebrating love.
And whether church has always been part of your life or you haven't set foot inside one since your school nativity play, you can be assured of a warm welcome.
More than just one special day
We believe marriage is about much more than the wedding itself, wonderful though that day will be.
It's about friendship, faithfulness, forgiveness, laughter, supporting one another through life's ups and downs, and choosing to love each other through all the ordinary and extraordinary moments that lie ahead.
A Christian wedding celebrates that commitment and recognises that love is one of the greatest gifts we have to share.
You don't need to have a perfect relationship or a perfect plan for the future. Just a willingness to make those promises and begin the adventure together.
