St George's Church Hanworth
Greetings and a very warm welcome to you. St George's Hanworth is a Church of England parish in the catholic tradition and our mission is to make the love of Christ known through excellence of worship, and active care and concern for others.
Our history begins in Saxon times and our community has built, loved, and cared for this church for more than 1200 years.
We are proud, too, of our catholic witness to the Christian faith within the Church of England.
Everyone is welcome at St George's - and we are happy to explain what we do and why we do it - and to assist you with your spiritual journey.
There is time after every service to pray - and there is always time for a chat over coffee.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
The parish of St George Hanworth is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (Jacquie Dimmer). The Diocese of London’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
