A dementia friendly event in a local care home
Bring along your items for mending and a team of fixers will be available to perform straightforward repairs while you wait. No charge, but donations towards costs are gratefully received. Or just come along and enjoy refreshments in the cafe!
Holy Communion with hymns, choir, organ or the church music group, bellringing and a sermon. All are welcome. Refreshments follow the service in the Vicarage Schoolroom (church hall) on Queen Street.

We welcome the Bishop of Sherborne, The Rt Revd Karen Gorham, to our benefice service at 10am in
St Mary's Church. This will be Holy Communion with the Confirmation of six candidates and will be a happy and joyful occasion. This will be the only service in the benefice this Sunday and everyone from the 3 parishes is encouraged to attend to welcome the Bishop and the candidates and to demonstrate our unity, fellowship and love for one another in Christ as a single benefice.
A drop-in sewing project at Eden Café, Vicarage School Room, once a month on a Wednesday afternoon 2 – 4pm. Come and stitch together to create your own journal of a year, month by month, starting on 25 September 2024.
Please bring your own materials: 1 12” – 14” piece of calico or cotton, needle and threads (circler template provided).

Not just for Mums! In fact, not even just for women! Come along for fellowship, refreshments and all sorts of interesting talks and activities.
This week we will be sharing some favourite pieces of music - please bring along a record, cassette or CD!
Come along and enjoy listening to music from the 60s with afternoon tea.

On the 5th Sunday of the month, the 3 churches of the Benefice come together to share Holy Communion. The service takes place at either 10am (when in St Mary's Gillingham) or 10:30am (when in St Simon & Jude, Milton on Stour or St Nicholas, Silton).
It's great. It's Messy. It's Church. For families of all ages, with craft activities, worship and tea. In the Vicarage Schoolroom Queen Street.
