The service includes bible readings, a sermon, given by one of the team, contemporary and traditional worship music and prayers.
Children are very welcome and there is a dedicated area for children and their carers in the church too.
Everyone is welcome to join us and we serve tea/coffee after the service and take the opportunity to catch up with each other.

Pop in for a chat and a coffee or tea. No fee for refreshments, donations gratefully accepted but not essential.
Please note we will not be open on Bank Holiday Mondays.

You are welcome to join us for a special Mothering Sunday service. There will be a Holy Communion too.

We gather to listen to bible readings and a sermon by one of the clergy team, singing contemporary songs and traditional hymns and prayers.
Our children go to the Upper Room for Kids Church during the service and join us later to share what they have been learning too.
All are welcome and we always serve refreshments after the service-do stay for a coffee and a chat.
We don't have a communion in this service so if you would like to receive communion, please check our services in the churches in our benefice at Aspenden and Westmill.

We will be thinking about Easter, with songs and readings led by the pupils of Layston First School.
Please note, there is only capacity for those with tickets issued by the school.

We meet at the Manor House carpark with our palm crosses and process back to St Peter's. A reflective service with songs and readings to remember Jesus' final journey to Jerusalem. This service will include Holy Communion.

A Taizé service is a meditative, ecumenical Christian prayer service originating from the Taizé Community in France. It features simple, repetitive chants (often in different languages), candlelit settings, scripture readings, and periods of silence for reflection.

As Churches Together in Buntingford, we are joining our brothers and sisters from Christ Church and St Richard's for a Walk Of Witness around Buntingford at 10am. Then we gather outside St Peter's at 11am (weather permitting) for a journey through the Stations of the Cross using art and bible readings.

Alleluia, He is risen!
You are very welcome to join us on this special day as we celebrate the resurrection together.
Following the service, there will be an Easter egg hunt in the church.

Our Annual Parochial Church Meeting will take place at St Peter's following the 11am service. This is an opportunity to look back at our church life of 2025, with questions, reflections and hopefully, plenty to be thankful for!

A Christening will be held at St Peter's Church on Saturday 9th May at 11am.
The church will not be available for any other access between 10am-12 noon.

Come along and join us for our sponsored Hymnathon on Saturday 13th June 2026
10am - 4pm. Come and sing or simply enjoy the music.
Hymns will be sponsored in aid of Homestart, St Peter’s Church, Buntingford, St Mary’s, Aspenden, St Peter’s, Buntingford, & St Mary the Virgin, Westmill.
Refreshments will be available throughout the day.

There will be a Christening service held at St Peter's Church on Saturday 20th June. The church will not be available for any other access between 10am-12 noon.
