St Hugh's, Bermondsey

St Hugh’s is a Conventional District within the parish of Southwark Cathedral, with whom it has strong links, but St Hugh's has its own distinctive history and character.

After more than a hundred years' presence in the local community as part of the Charterhouse-in-Southwark Mission, the building on the corner of Crosby Row and Porlock St was demolished in the summer of 2011 to make way for affordable and private housing. On the ground floor there will be a new church, for St Hugh's to continue its long tradition of worship and community service.

St Hugh is a place of love, welcome and friendship.
