There is no doubting that the 13th century St Mary and All Saints’ Church in Dunsfold is beautiful, historic and acclaimed. William Morris was an English textile designer, poet, artist, writer and socialist activist associated with the British Arts and Crafts movement. 

He was a major contributor to the revival of traditional British textile arts and methods of production. His literary contributions helped to establish the modern fantasy genre, while he campaigned for socialism in fin de siècle Great Britain.

Born in Walthamstow, London he visited many churches and Dunsfold Church left a lasting impression on him. Come and see why by visiting us between 2-5pm on Saturday or Sunday. Entry is free and you’ll be able to enjoy:
