This weekend we will celebrate our Harvest Festival in Dunsfold. On Saturday evening we will stage a quiz night and two-course harvest supper in the Winn Hall. And on Sunday we will celebrate Harvest at our 10am Holy Communion service.
As well as giving thanks for creation, the changing seasons, agricultural produce and the gifts God has provided us with, we will also bring gifts forward as offerings we can pass on to the needy and less fortunate. We hope many of you will be happy to join us in this important outreach. This year we will again be forwarding the donations to the Godalming Minster food bank for distribution.
Please bring your donations to either of our weekend events or drop them off at the back of church. Or, if required, call Pam Walker on 01483 201140 and she will organise collection of your Harvest gifts.
The official Harvest collect (prayer) of the day specifically asks that the fruits of the earth be used both for God’s glory and “for the relief of those in need.” Here is a list of the items Godalming Minster food bank particularly needs this week. Please give generously.
