WHEN DUNSFOLD & HASCOMBE GOT MESSY

Church_news

The sun shone brightly and the fun was great as Messy Church arrived in Hascombe Village Hall yesterday (August 25).

We had an amazing turn-out of 27 children for the event, skilfully co-ordinated by Sandy Crowther and Sheila Jones.

There were craft activities set at stations around the room so the children could take part in creating artwork and then move on to the next challenge. An assortment of old cardboard boxes were transformed into three robots under Simon Crowther's supervision.

Reverend Rutton Viccajee, our stand-in priest during Ian Maslin's sick leave, led the time of reflection and prayers. He  then produced a flute from his bag to offer some wonderful impromptu accompaniment to our musical section.

Many thanks to all the helpers, parents and grandparents who came along to make it such a special day. And it's fair to say, some of our little ones lived up to the title of the event and got messy!
