This will be Fr Shane Griffiths’s first Holy Week in Dunsfold and Hascombe. Palm Sunday falls on April 13th, the second Sunday of the month. So on that day the parishes will come together for a joint parish Palm Sunday communion service at St Peter’s Church, Hascombe at 10am. That means for May there will be no Cafe Church service at the Winn Hall.So if you normally attend Café Church, please head to Hascombe Church for their Pal Sunday service.Thank you.
Each year we run a special Lent course that runs for the six weeks leading up to Easter.This year we’ll be meeting for six consecutive Tuesdays, starting on March 11th, at the Sun Inn. We start at 7pm with a pizza meal beautifully prepared by Elle and her team in the Sun kitchen. It’s great to share fellowship with friends over good food.In the meeting we’ll watch some brief videos that provoke discussions which we’ll do in small groups. The session will finish at 9pm.Come and join us. We already some established members signed up as well as some new faces. And don’t worry if church events are new to you. It’s the first Saturday of the month so get yourselves down to Dunsfold Common and visit our Pop-Up stall outside the Village Shop.You’re guaranteed a friendly smile, a warm welcome and the chance to buy some super, well-priced, homemade produce.
The date is set, Monday February 24th. The time of the service is 6pm. So please come to Dunsfold Church to celebrate the arrival of Rev Canon Shane Griffiths as rector of Dunsfold and Hascombe.The official duties will be conducted by the Rt Rev Paul Davies, Bishop of Dorking and the Ven Catharine Mabuza, Archdeacon of Surrey.If you are able to walk to church, please do so as parking is limited. If you need a lift head to the Winn Hall where from 5pm our shuttle service will take you to church. Refreshments will be served in church after the service.
