A Warm Invitation from St Mary and All Saints' Church, Dunsfold
If the world’s problems feel overwhelming and personal difficulties weigh you down, you’re not alone. You might have noticed a stirring inside - a quiet ache for meaning and purpose that won’t go away. Many of us have wondered if there is more to life than the daily grind.
Perhaps you’ve never set foot in a church building. You might have heard strange words - liturgy, communion, sermon - and wondered what it all means. So, let's start at the top. We believe Christian faith begins with a simple step: an honest conversation with God.
Details of all our services and events are on our website (https://www.achurchnearyou.com/church/8124/) and on village noticeboards. In addition to those in church, our Café Church usually meets on the 2nd Sunday of each month in the Winn Hall, Dunsfold. And, for children, we run a monthly Funday@4 service, combining a bible story, singing, craftwork and a picnic tea. If you are looking for a first step, these more informal services are ideal.
Whichever you choose, there is no dress code; just come as you are. You can listen, sing along with the hymns, or simply sit quietly and reflect on how Jesus’s life and teachings speak into everyday experience: grief, loneliness, hope and joy.
After each service, we invite you to stay for a cup of tea or coffee. It’s a chance to ask questions - no question is too small or too big. We share stories from our lives, laugh over biscuits, and support one another.
Across the world, church attendance is growing as more people search for genuine connection and deeper purpose... and find it in Jesus.
If you’re curious whether there’s something to explore here, you’ll find friendly faces ready to listen, share and support you. If you would prefer to have a chat, please contact our Rector, Fr. Shane Griffiths [email protected] or 07582 078006 or 01483 435099.
