The origins of Evening Prayer date back to Christian and Jewish prayers at the end of the day and the shape of Evening Prayer was first set by the great Reformation Martyr Archbishop Thomas Cranmer in the first Book of Common Prayer (1549), based on the Catholic offices (daily services) of Vespers and Compline. Join us and participate in an intense, timeless act of worship that has entranced Anglicans by its simplicity and uplifting language for over three and a half centuries.
