Other notices

Bishop Andrew is coming - Peter Hooper is leaving!

Next Sunday Bp Andrew will celebrate our 11h00 Eucharist at Hommeel, and we plan a Bring and Share lunch afterwards. It will be our opportunity to welcome him, and to say farewell to Archdeacon Peter Hooper (a good friend of the Chaplaincy) at the same time. We will also be able to offer our congratulations to Peter and Pat Williams on their anniversary.

Some notes for Sunday - please read:Flowers - it would be great to have fresh flowers in church this Sunday: please bring an arrangement ready in a vase so it can simply be put in place.Food - Peter Hooper has to leave at 13h45 to catch a plane! This Sunday there will be no coffee after the 11am Eucharist, we will proceed to lunch straight after the service.Service - Our service will follow the normal pattern: hymn tunes should be easy and familiar, but please take a look at them on Youtube to be sure.

Another departure! As we say farewell to the Archdeacon, news comes this week of the departure of the Area Dean Revd David Macleod, Chaplain in Brittany, who is moving to a new post in Kent this August: we met him when he came to licence Fr Chris as Chaplain last September.

A temporary Archdeacon (the Chaplain at Lyon) will hold the fort until a permanent appointment sometime in the New Year. A new Area Dean? Who knows.... with clergy vacancies pending in the Vendee, Tours and now Brittany (the NW Deanery is a quarter of France!) we may be waiting a while before a Deanery appointment is made.

Please continue to pray for our Chaplaincy

Lord Jesus Christ,

thank you for calling us to be a Church

under the banner of your Name:

may we look to you today and find clear vision for tomorrow.

May our life together bring you glory,

as you make of us a living invitation to enter the joy of your Kingdom.

Amen
