Anglican Centre and English Library

5-7 rue du Moulin de Vesque, 50200 GRATOT

The Anglican Centre is a suite of buildings (the former presbytery and salle des fetes) in Hommeel (commune of Gratot, near Coutances).

The site offers parking for those attending services and activities, and toilet facilities are available.

There are three elements to the Centre itself:

1 Ministry and administrative office: an upstairs room in the former presbytery offers a comfortable space for interviews and small meetings, with telephone and WiFi available.

2 A spacious Church Hall for larger meetings, events and activities, with a kitchen provided. The Hall reopened at Easter 2025 after suffering catastrophic roof damage in November 2023.  We meet here for refreshments and a time of fellowship after services.

3 The 'Brian and Sheila Baker Library' - our Chaplaincy offers the popular facility of a lending library of books in English. This is housed in the former Presbytery (part of our complex of buildings) at Gratot, staffed by volunteers, and is open to visitors regularly.

The library is usually open each Wednesday morning each month from 10.30 to midday (please check before making a special journey) and also on Sundays after the morning Service from midday to 1.30pm. Details and changes are announced in the Chaplaincy magazine and weekly 'Friday Focus' mailing.
