Yes, St George's Christmas Fete is back, and bigger and better than ever.
And your favourite stalls will still be there. In fact the mulled wine, bratwurst, bric-a-brac, plants, books, and all those lovely English things that make it feel so Christmassy, will all be there...with so much more.
So, two things to do now. Firstly, book the date. You won't regret it.
And secondly, think about what YOU could do to help. You will see on the posters above that we have two immediate needs. Firstly books. People still really love holding a book in their hands when they read. But lots of us still have too many books cluttering up our homes. Would you like to give some to the church? And as well as books, we also need people to help. You don't have to be a regular church goer and there is no chance of the church roof falling in if you are not - though that is because we are in the cemetery outside! But seriously, would you like to run a stall, help with refreshments, show a film for the children, or even sell some books or plants, ... or mulled wine? If so, contact Fr Hilary here.
