Lyn Mission Community, the second community coffee morning in January will be held in The Greenhouse, Lee Road, Lynton. Saturday, January 24 at 10.30am. These coffee mornings started to help people get out and socialise again after lockdown and they have continued since. A good place to meet up with friends and catch up on the local news. Everyone very welcome.

Service for Christian Unity, the Sisters of Mary Morning Star would like to invite all to a time of prayer and song for Christian unity to be held on Sunday, January 25 at 4pm in the Most Holy Saviour Church, Lynton. It will last approx 45 minutes and will then be followed by a time to meet one another over a cup of tea and refreshments. For those who would like to stay on, you are welcome to join evening prayer at 6pm which lasts 30 minutes. It will be a wonderful opportunity to pray together with scripture and song, to mark the end of the week of prayer for Christian unity.

Funeral of John Dallyn

The funeral of Mr John Dallyn will be held on Friday 06 February at St Martin’s Church, Martinhoe at 1400hrs. The Service will also be relayed into Hannington Hall (directly opposite the church and is wheelchair friendly) to provide additional capacity. Car parking will be in the field behind the Hall.

Everyone is invited to the Hunters Inn after the funeral. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired will be collected for RABI – The Farmers Charity and the Parish Church of St Martin’s Church, which can be given at the Service or c/o Gayton and Son, Pickett Meadow, Barnstaple (Tel 01271 342196).
