All are of course very welcome.
Rosie the dog has settled in nicely
at Christ Church,
assisting her owner.
There is easy access to the toilets (no steps)
from within the church. From outside the
church there is a step free entrance leading
directly to the toilets that is accessible
by wheelchair.
Our services are led
using microphones that
are linked to the loop system
so that hearing aid users
can adjust accordingly.
Service sheets are available in large print.
A drop down changing table available.
There is a defibrillator next door at The Snooty Fox pub.

There are two toilets. One has baby changing facilities.
Music and Worship
Christ Church has a music group who perform
every other Sunday (2nd, 4th, 5th Sunday).

The following Morning Prayer service is currently taking a break!
Every 2nd Sunday there is a ‘said’
traditional BCP Communion
at 8.30am til 9am.
The music group lead the congregation
in songs every 2nd, 4th and 5th Sunday’s.

Groups, Courses and Activities
Explorers group (for 5-11 year olds) currently meet every 3rd Sunday each month at 9.30am.
The ‘young people’ sub group leaders
and helpers meet regularly to plan,
discuss the fun and educational
activities for the group.
All leaders are CRB certified.

We have ran in the past Start,
Christianity Explored courses.
We also promote/attend the
free Diocese lay training courses available.
We have 3 different home groups
which involve social get togethers,
DVDs and other materials, related
to biblical themes and passages;
to learn and to grow our understanding
and relationships with God today.
Oakworth Brownies make use of the space at Christ Church.
There is a coffee morning every Wednesday
from 10.30am until 11.45am.
Our latest event was the 180th Celebration with a variety of interesting exhibitions. Past events included the Great Get Together inspired by the late Jo Cox, Burns Night food and dancing, dog show, ceiledh, rogation at Newsholme, harvest auction at Newsholme.

The Oakworth Mothers’ Union are currently meeting on the first Tuesdays each month at 1.30pm at Christ Church.

We run a 'Adults, Babies & Children' (ABC) group every Wednesday morning in term time, from 8.45am til 10.15am. For parents and caregivers to meet others over refreshments and toast whilst their children have a safe space to play.
Rainbows regularly use the space at Christ Church.

Wherever possible tea, coffee, cleaning
and toiletry products are Fairtrade.
We regularly use the screen showing all wording needed including song lyrics for the music group, and most services use the PA system including microphones. We have a loop system for those with hearing aids. During the pandemic and the restrictions it brought with it, the projector screen was used to show worship songs.

refurbishment to create a huge space,

for use by the community.
