Accessibility

There are two toilets. One has baby changing facilities.

A drop down changing table available.

Car Park / Parking Available

There is easy access to the toilets (no steps)
from within the church. From outside the
church there is a step free entrance leading
directly to the toilets that is accessible
by wheelchair.

There is parking available in the grounds,
on the grassed area at the end of the drive.

using microphones that
are linked to the loop system
so that hearing aid users
can adjust accordingly.

Service sheets are available in large print.

Music and Worship

Christ Church has a group called
Living Waters, who perform
every other Sunday (2nd, 4th, 5th Sunday).

every other Sunday (1st, 3rd Sunday).

The following Morning Prayer service is currently taking a break!
Every 2nd Sunday there is a ‘said’
traditional BCP Communion
at 8.30am til 9am.

in songs every 2nd, 4th and 5th Sunday’s.

Groups, Courses and Activities

Explorers group (for 5-11 year olds) currently meet every 3rd Sunday each month at 9.30am.
The ‘young people’ sub group leaders
and helpers meet regularly to plan,
discuss the fun and educational
activities for the group.
All leaders are CRB certified.

We have ran in the past Start,
Christianity Explored courses.
We also promote/attend the
free Diocese lay training courses available.

We have four different home groups
which involve social get togethers,
DVDs and other materials, related
to biblical themes and passages;
to learn and to grow our understanding
and relationships with God today.

Oakworth Brownies make use of the space at Christ Church.

There is a coffee morning every Wednesday
from 10.30am until 11.45am.

The latest Community events were the Burns Night Quiz and Wine Tasting. Past events included the Great Get Together inspired by the late Jo Cox. In partnership with the Oakworth Community Trust a barbecue was organised for the whole community. See our photos of the successful event below.

who meet regularly to discuss and plan local events.

Other Features

Wherever possible tea, coffee, cleaning
and toiletry products are Fairtrade.

During the all age services
(2nd Sunday each month 9.30am)
the screen and PA system is used which shows
all wording needed including
song lyrics for the group Living Waters. During the pandemic and the restrictions it brought with it, the projector screen was used to show worship songs.
