Every week except for Palm Sunday
Traditional Evensong with Psalm and hymns with accompaniment from the organ. Please note we do not have a choral choir, the small congregation sing the hymns, magnificat, nunc dimittis, and other traditional responses. At the unique small church of St. John's which is nestled in stunning farmland in the hamlet of Newsholme. Evensong is usually held every 2nd, 4th, 5th weeks of the month, however do look regularly on our calendar and website and Facebook 'Oakworth Parish Churches' for updates and changes to this pattern especially during special times in the church calendar which may change Evensong services.
Wednesday group for parents, grandparents and caregivers to meet over a cuppa and toast whilst their little ones have a friendly and safe place to play.

Meeting on the 1st Thursday of every month at Christ Church in Oakworth, there is an ongoing planned, stimulating and varied programme to meet all levels of ability and interest. The procession: The parade usually assembles at Windsor Road at 1pm with prize giving, setting off through the village at 2pm. Gala field: The parade concludes at the playing field off Victoria Road/Victoria Avenue. The afternoon includes a wide array of local stalls, children’s, entertainment, community performances, and refreshments.
We are proud to have a local Oakworth branch of MU, being a part of the over 4 million members across 83 countries. Locally some of our support includes 'Away From It All' caravan holidays; toiletry packs for women in refuge. We are particularly focusing on the '#NoMore1in3' campaign.
