Traditional Palm Sunday Eucharist (communion) with the 'Passion' Reading telling the story of Jesus during Holy Week.

Family worship service including blessing of the palm crosses. Come and help wave our pre made palm branches made out of outlines of our hands. Celebrating as the crowds did waving Palms as Jesus made his triumphant entrance into Jerusalem.

Wednesday of Holy Week. Said (no hymns) communion service, with readings and healing prayers for those who have requested especially using our prayer tree and boards at Christ Church.

Traditional Maundy recalling Jesus Last Supper with his disciples. With Holy Communion and symbolic foot washing if you wish to do so. The service concludes with the dramatic reading of Jesus' betrayal, and the 'stripping of the altar'. Followed by a quiet candlelit prayer vigil. Church open til 9.30pm

Meeting on the 1st Thursday of every month at Christ Church in Oakworth, there is an ongoing planned, stimulating and varied programme to meet all levels of ability and interest. Ancient traditional candlelit service beginning outdoors at sunset to light the Easter fire and new paschal candle. Service continues indoors by candlelight as we recall the salvation story through scriptures and song. The darkness of the cross is put behind us as e celebrate Christ's Resurrection with the first Eucharist of Easter and make a joyful noise of thanksgiving.
