St Laurence Goose Fair 2025

The annual St Laurence Goose Fair returns for it's thirteenth year on Saturday 20 September 2025. Established in 2010 to celebrate Michaelmas, the event originally featured a goose parade through the village, and whilst the event is now a long way from the early days, we're delighted that it draws villagers and visitors to our beautiful church.

This year, the fair will be welcoming many new stalls, including Fordingbridge Fudge, Rosie's Dream Shop, and Martha Ball; as well as welcoming back many of our old favourites, including Sheila Green selling her delicious jams and preserves, as well as Sue Chappell selling her bags and home-sewn items.

We will also be making extra use of the church, with some stalls in the chancel for the first time, as well as by making better use of the church yard. The event will also be welcoming some local charities - Downton Link and the Stars Appeal.

We do hope that you will come and have a look around the event in the beautiful church. The fair starts at 10am, finishing at 2pm, and there will be delicious homemade lunches and cakes being sold with hot drinks throughout the event.

This year, we will be running a colouring competition for children attending, and several of our stalls have some brilliant child-friendly items they can buy too.

Could you help? We are looking for helpers to help serve the refreshments on the day, as well as people to help with setting the fair up on the Friday afternoon, and then clear up at the end of the day. Please do email Rose Bloomfield if you could help ([email protected])

Love,

St Laurence x
