As a thank you to our supporters in the journey to save our church from closure, everyone is invited to join us for a relaxed evening of drinks and friendly conversation in the beautful surroundings of Holy Trinity.Rev Marcia and the Save Our Church Committee will provide a short update on fundraising, how the money is being spent, ideas for new services and be available to answer any questions.
Another wonderful village event on Sunday 16th May, despite the weather. Thank you so much to all the people who contributed plants, made cakes, helped, visited and donated to the Plant Sale which raised over £1,300 for the church. Thank you so much to Margaret, Bill, James and Tim for hosting this event and for the huge amount of work that it entailed.
Many thanks to Diana Cotter for devising another beautifully illustrated Treasure Hunt through Bentley Wood in aid of the Save Our Church appeal.The hunt begins at the church this year where treasure hunt maps can be collected. We are asking for a minimum donation of £3 per map. Card payments can be made at the new contactless payment machine inside the church. The hunt will run until Sunday 12 April. The Bishop of Ramsbury is delighted to announce that, subject to the usual processes, he has offered the post of Team Vicar in the Clarendon Team to the Rev Marcia Wadham who has accepted the post. Further details of Marcia’s arrival and licensing service will be shared in due course. The Bishop expressed his sincere gratitude to everyone who took part in this successful process and who have cared for the Clarendon Team during the vacancy.
