Our Team Administrator has announced her retirement which will be on 31 July. Lynne has served us faithfully over nine years in this role and has been an invaluable member of the Team. She has done a huge amount of work behind the scenes and we are very sorry that she is leaving us. Her last day in the office will be Thursday 31 July. Please remember Lynne in your prayers as she prepares to leave the office, although she will not be going far and will continue with some of the projects which she is involved in in our parishes.We are now recruiting for a new Team Administrator. This is to remind everyone that if you have a role in your church eg, as sidesperson or welcomer, serving refreshments, or supporting activities involving children and young people or vulnerable adults, you are required to undertake Safeguarding training at basic and foundation level. This has to be refreshed every three years as the training is updated. The training can be completed online and to gain access to the course, please consult with your Parish Safeguarding Officer. Occasionally, courses are also available to do in person, either locally or in the Deanery and we will advertise these when they are available. If you’re not sure, please ask your Parish Safeguarding Officer: Jenny Wray-Bliss in Westbury and Yvette Croft in Dilton Marsh. Please find attached a leaflet about the Quiet Garden at Great Chalfield with the programme for the following year, from September.The last one on the current programme will be next Tuesday 1 July when Bishop Robert Atwell will be leading a reflection.This is open to all.
