Nobody was quite sure how long it is since the last time the Baptismal Pool at St Matthew's was used - there were concerns about it leaking, but there were no problems - and both the people who get wet were pleased that the water was armed up sufficiently!Although there is nothing to stop adults being baptised at a font with a sprinkling or splashing of water on the head, St Matthew's is unusual in CofE churches in having a full immersion Baptism pool.
