St Matthew's Wigmore

St Matthew's Wigmore is one of four churches which make up the Parish of South Gillingham - building community, nurturing faith, and growing disciples of Jesus Christ. We are open for Worship every Sunday, at 10.30am for our main service. The church is open each weekday morning 9am-1pm, and there are a range of midweek groups at various times including the 139 coffee morning on Mondays - for babies and toddlers and the adults caring for them and The Place of Welcome - for anyone in the community - every Thursday morning at 10am.

We have a weekly newsletter which is sent out to the congregations in the Parish. To be added to the circulation list of the weekly "Keeping in Touch" newsletter please email [email protected] and let us know if you have a connection to one of the 4 churches in particular.

The parish of South Gillingham: St Matthew is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Rochester’s safeguarding pages: www.rochester.anglican.org/safeguarding/ contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services. Please see our Safeguarding page for more information and the Formal Safeguarding Statement.
