About Us

Welcome to St Aidan's, which serves an Eastern part of Gravesend, Kent. Our worship is recognisable as traditional Anglican and we are a Eucharistic community, meeting weekly for Holy Communion. Visitors will find a genuinely warm welcome and people regularly comment on the delightfully light worship space inside church.

St Aidan's is accessible for disabled people and we have a good sound system with hearing loop.

Families are very welcome here and we have many who attend each week. We have a Sunday School (3rd Sunday currently) and a monthly All-Age service (1st Sunday). Our worship includes a robed choir which is open and welcoming to new members. After the service we serve refreshments in our comfortable lounge area. Beyond services, St Aidan's serves the local community through a parent and child group (Little Rainbows) which meets in the hall on Wednesday afternoons, a monthly café with,  a craft group, a women's group and an afternoon tea group for those living alone or in need of company. We sometimes host special community events, details can be found on our website and Facebook page. St Aidan's has a Nursery School graded 'Good' by Ofsted (2018) which meets every morning in the Parish Hall.

The safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults is important to us and the Vicar and Parish Safeguarding Officer share responsibility for this with the PCC.

We meet for Holy Communion on Wednesday mornings.
