RYBURGH EVENT for all: Open yourself to the profound realm of contemplative prayer... A fitting topic in this year of the Norwich Diocese vision for Prayerfulness... A morning spent in the tranquil space and surroundings of Great Ryburgh Church near Fakenham. Rector Revd Robin Stapleford will introduce the seeming contradictory rationale of prayer without words. Also known as contemplative prayer. There will be opportunity for personal and corporate silent space and mindfulness. Norfolk's own cherished daughter from six-plus centuries ago, Julian of Norwich serves as a poetic icon for contemplative prayer, both from her spiritual vocation and profound passages from her time-honoured book, 'Revelations of Divine Love'. And since half a century ago she has given her name to the internationally popular 'Julian Meetings' movement - facilitating the power of corporate silent prayer. Refreshments served midway. Conveniences on site. Free onsite parking. No-fee event, donations welcome. Enquiries / book a place - Revd Robin Stapleford, [email protected] 01328 853 226
