As advertised - the vicar will be conducting the next ‘cycle prayer pilgrimage’, cycling around the different villages and hamlets that make up the Benefice of the Isle of Wedmore that our churches serve, stopping at various points and praying for the particular communities. Details of timings can be found in Church & in the news item on the left list of pages.
Wheel & a Prayer is monthly on a Tuesday (the dates differ slightly from Month to Month see Church Newsletter in News and Notices section for exact dates)
A communion with opportunities for silence, focusing on peace and reconciliation
Our church choir meet to sing together every Thursday evening starting at 7 p.m running through hymns for Sunday as well as looking forward to festivals and special choral services. New members very welcome. People who would like to join and sing at festivals and wedding etc. are warming welcome along with members who want to sing on a Sunday.
As with the second and fourth Sunday of the month, this is a communion service with hymns, readings and a sermon
Available most Sundays from 4pm where one of the services from the Benefice is recorded and will be available on youtube from that afternoon
A quiet medatative service held in the Lady Chapel
Our regular Home Group meets fortnightly on a Wednesday evening 7.30 -9.00 p.m. for prayer, bible study and mutual support. Sometimes we are at the home of one of our members and sometimes we meet on Zoom.
During Lent we meet weekly - this year looking at the book 'Women of Holy Week' by Paula Gooder
A popular monthly community event - an essential visit for a taste of village life and great coffee!
An informal service, seated around tables which begins with an opportunity for conversation and sharing of coffee, croissants and pastries. There are activities for children available.
Traditional BCP Holy Communion with short sermon
Common Worship based morning prayer, every third Sunday of the month
A fun afternoon of Craft, children's tea and a very informal service. All children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
