Christ Church
Sunday 26th October is Bible Sunday when we give thanks for the Word of God. At Christ Church we will have a service of Morning Praise Iona Style at 10.30 am followed by light refreshments in the Church Room, when we share our joys and sorrows from the past week, catch up on news and put the world to rights!
Our readings this Sunday are:
Isaiah Chapter 45 verses 12-25 Turn to me and be saved
Luke chapter 4 verses 16-24 Jesus preaches in the synagogue at Nazareth
•Blessed Lord, •who caused all holy Scriptures to be written for our learning: •help us so to hear them, •to read, mark, learn and inwardly digest them •that, through patience, and the comfort of your holy word, •we may embrace and for ever hold fast •the hope of everlasting life, •which you have given us in our Saviour Jesus Christ, •who is alive and reigns with you, •in the unity of the Holy Spirit, •One God, now and for ever.Amen.
