Christ Church
This Sunday, the Third before Advent marks a time when Jesus was counselling his disciples about the transitory nature of earthly riches, and comparing it to the lasting treasures waiting for the faithful in heaven.
Our service this Sunday is Morning Worship at 10.30 am and you are warmly invited to join us then, and to stay after the service for light refreshments as we meet and catch up on the village news. Once again we have a Christmas Hamper being raffled,
Our Bible Readings are
Malachi Chapter4 verses 1-2 Judgement and Covenant Renewal
Luke Chapter 21, verses 5-19 The Destruction of the Temple and signs of End Times
Direct, O Lord, and guide all our moods, feelings, and desires. Help us to persevere in speaking love and to have the endurance to grow in our faith, even when it is challenged. We trust that even in our times of difficulty, You will provide the wisdom and words we need, and that through You,
We will gain our souls.
Amen
