We've got services across the benefice for Mothering Sunday. We'll give everyone some flowers to share with someone they love or (and) who loves them.

Loving God,
Thank you for mums and children
and for all the joy of family life.
Be with those who are grieving because they have no mother;
Be close to those who are struggling because they have no children;
Be near to those who are sad because they are far apart from those they love.
Let your love be present in every home,
And help your church to have eyes to see and ears to hear the needs of all who come.
We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.

All ages are welcome to this Messy Church event. There will be a warm welcome, crafts, singing, a bible story, prayers and food. The event is free but if you wish to make a contribution to ministry in Armathwaite that is optional.
Starting off from the car park of Plumpton school, we'll be processing into the church waving palms as we remember Jesus going into Jerusalem.
There may even be a donkey.
This is the benefice service - so the only service that day in the Inglewood group of churches.
As we journey with Jesus to the cross we'll mark Holy Week by meeting at 7.00pm Monday - Thursday for a short and simple service of holy communion. We're delighted that our former vicar, Brian Dawson will be joining us as our preacher. He'll be considering The Suffering Servant as portrayed by the prophet Isaiah, and its importance in our understanding of the person and work of Jesus.
On Thursday evening we'll have the memorial of the first communion service. Jesus said 'Do this in remembrance of me' and so we continue to break bread together. We'll also have a foot washing for those who wish and will be stripping the altar bare in preparation for Good Friday. There will be a Watch in church for an hour at the end of the service.

Meet at Calthwaite crossroads at 9am for an ecumenical walk of witness finishing in St. Mary's Church, Hesket, for a short service of devotion.

The Annual Parochial Church Council meeting will take place immediately after a shortened Holy Communion Service. All parishioners are welcome to attend.
