Bishop Sophie visited many places in the the Southam Deanery on Wednesday 5th November including, briefly, Ladbroke Church. Church Warden Sue presented her with a gift from Ladbroke and Napton churches - a handmade cleek with a hazel wood shaft and a beech handle. Cleeks are the sticks that shepherds use when walking with their flock, in contrast to the better known shepherd's crook which is used to catch a sheep round the neck or leg!
