Church of England Diocese of Gloucester Newnham

St Peter's Church, Newnham-on-Severn

Welcome to St Peter’s, Newnham on Severn at this very difficult time across the world.

St Peter's is open every Wednesday between 7 and 8pm and every Friday between 10am and 12 noon for private prayer. Just walk in, and please read the safety notices inside the church.

Churches can now open for public worship, and we'll post full details about the services in St Peter's as soon as possible. Churches have been advised to start slowly, and we'll probably start with a mixture - say, two church services a month, a service via Zoom every month, and the Together in Prayer services every week.

If you feel vulnerable please do not hesitate to ask for help: Revd Joe (01594 510165), or churchwardens Bev Bowles (01594 516476) or Jane Curtis (01594 516716). We have a long list of willing volunteers! We want to keep communication going, and we want to find ways to keep journeying together in our community.

We hope, too, that you can find other useful things on this site. If you've just moved into the village we've produced a 'Welcome to Newnham' pack which gives details of all of our organisations, clubs, facilities etc. and a map. Do get in touch if you'd like a welcome pack, if you need more information or you want to talk anything through - see our contact details on the 'Who's who at St Peter's' page. We've been here a long time and hope that you can find a place here too and become part of the story of this place with us.
