St Peter's Church, Newnham-on-Severn
Welcome to St Peter’s, Newnham on Severn! We are a friendly and active church, integral to the village community, welcoming people of all ages and abilities. It is the largest building in the village, set on the cliff overlooking the Severn, and in normal circumstances is a good place for meals, concerts, Burns Night and all sorts of things.
We are delighted that Revd Rachel Saum has been appointed our new Priest-in-Charge! See News and Notices.
The church is open every day (between about 9am and 5pm) for private prayer, or just a quiet moment. Our church services, still slightly limited because of the restrictions, are every Sunday at 10am and every Thursday at 10.15am. All are very welcome - we hope that we'll be able to return to normal, with refreshments etc after each service, very soon!
If you feel vulnerable please do not hesitate to ask for help: Revd Joe (01594 510165), or churchwardens Bev Bowles (01594 516476) or Anna Fedden (01594 516526). We have a long list of willing volunteers! We want to keep communication going, and we want to find ways to keep journeying together in our community.
We hope, too, that you can find other useful things on this site. If you've just moved into the village we've produced a 'Welcome to Newnham' pack which gives details of all of our organisations, clubs, facilities etc. and a map. Do get in touch if you'd like a welcome pack, if you need more information or you want to talk anything through - see our contact details on the 'Who's who at St Peter's' page. We've been here a long time and hope that you can find a place here too and become part of the story of this place with us.
