Holy Communion from Book of Common Prayer

Every Wednesday at for 30 mins
St. James the Great
St. James the Great, St. James the Great Church St. James Street Westhoughton BOLTON, BL5 2EB, United Kingdom
A quiet said service lasting 30 to 40 minutes with no hymns sung. The traditional words of the Book of Common prayer are used, large print service booklets are available.

Refreshments are available after the service providing an opportunity for a chat and fellowship, we often linger for an hour, making new friends, enjoying each others company and news.

This weekly service is supported by a rota of members of the clergy who each bring something different to the service.

Ignite Youth Westhoughton

Toy Service & Away from Home Children

for 1 hour

This year toys donated at our Toy Service will will be delivered by our Mission Outreach team to Sarah Lodge which is a purpose built supported housing scheme. A Place of safety, a home for young pregnant and newly delivered women, their babies and young children. Sarah Lodge aims to enable single young parents and their children to access support and assistance to maximise their transition into independent living. We know Sarah Lodge are very appreciative of our gifts at this time.

Also again we hope to support the Children’s Society and their
‘Away from Home’ children project by providing simple toiletries such as tooth brushes & paste, shower gel, deodorant etc. There are still many thousands of these children and the society tries to keep them from harm, give them shelter and help them on their way to a more secure life. We know there is not much time but please help us to help the Society help them & show them they are not forgotten this Christmas time.
