Holy Communion from Book of Common Prayer

Every Wednesday at for 30 mins
St. James the Great
St. James the Great, St. James the Great Church St. James Street Westhoughton BOLTON, BL5 2EB, United Kingdom

A quiet said service lasting 30 to 40 minutes with no hymns sung. The traditional words of the Book of Common prayer are used, large print service booklets are available.

Refreshments are available after the service providing an opportunity for a chat and fellowship, we often linger for an hour, making new friends, enjoying each others company and news.

This weekly service is supported by a rota of members of the clergy who each bring something different to the service.

Weekly Recorded National Church of England Service

Every Sunday at for 1 hour
St. James the Great

A weekly recorded Sunday Service provided by the Church of England and in addition other recorded material including recordings of the General Synod meetings located under the LIVE tab.

Open Doors: First Saturday ... All are Welcome

Every First Saturday at for 2 hours
St. James the Great
St. James the Great, St. James the Great Church St. James Street Westhoughton BOLTON, BL5 2EB, United Kingdom

Our doors are open from 10.00 am to 12.00 noon on the first Saturday of each month to welcome people to come and enjoy a chat and a cup of tea, or a quiet time to themselves.

A good time for visits to the churchyard spend some quiet personal time in the church, enjoy refreshments and use the toilet facilities.
