FILM CLUB 

April’s film club went off without a hitch, and people enjoyed Angela’s Ashes, despite the misery and poverty depicted. 

On the 14th May, we are watching the 1996 classic, The English Patient with Ralph Feinnes, Juliet Binoche and Kristin Scott Thomas. You will know it is an epic romantic war drama directed by Anthony Minghella following a book by Michael Ondaatje. I am really looking forward to it and also to seeing you there. 

We start the film at 10.30 but meet any time after 10 for coffee. It ends when it’s over so prepare to be here till lunch time! 

The film club is open to anyone who enjoys a film on a 72 inch screen. The venue is the Genner Room next to the church. There is no membership fee but we do ask for a small contribution part of which goes towards the upkeep of the church and the rest towards a Christmas party in December.
