Church of England Diocese of Sheffield Stannington

Christ Church Stannington

Welcome to Christ Church Stannington, we are a community of people learning to love God and to love our neighbours and to be more Christlike in our lives.

We hope that through our worship and witness, others too of all ages may find faith and grow in faith. Do join us.

A time has come when we worship God in Spirit and in truth (John 4: 23b)

During Lockdown Christ Church is still active and will continue to pray for the whole parish.

The parish of Stannington: Christ Church is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (Janet Smith), PSOs. The Diocese of Sheffield’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
