Our fabulous Friendship Group is lovingly run by a wonderful team of devoted volunteers, led by Honor, who seek to practically love older people and those who care for them. We meet once a month, with endless tea, coffee, and of course cake, to chat, support and love each other through all the variety of life. As well as meeting together, we keep in contact through the month with a fortnightly phone call to catch up and check in, which continues to be a lifeline for those who may be living with long term illness or living on their own. And of course to pray for the needs of our older community and their families and supporters. 

Caring for someone can be a lonely and tiring labour of love, and the team at the Friendship Group is always there to come alongside and to listen. 

We have a varied program of fun and light hearted activities, from quiz's to armchair exercises to sing a longs and our much loved Christmas meal. We can provide free transport to those with mobility issues made available with funding from the Co-Op. 

There is no charge, and you can just turn up and you will be welcomed with open arms, and lots of cake!!
