Welcome to the website for St Michael’s Church, Mytholmroyd.

Our services take place every Sunday at 11 am with hymns and traditional organ music. Most weeks, we share Morning Praise, which is a simple service of prayer, scripture, and song. Communion is offered when a priest is available.

Whether you have lived in the area for five minutes or fifty years, or are simply passing through, we’d love to welcome you. St Michael’s is a place for everyone, whether you are exploring faith, looking for community, or just curious. Come as you are; there is a place for you here.

What to Expect

Getting Here

St Michael’s is easy to reach. We have two car parks: one in front of the church hall, accessed from New Road, and another between the hall and church via Church Road. The second car park is especially convenient for those with mobility needs. The church is also just a short walk from the bus stop on Burnley Road and Mytholmroyd train station.

Accessibility

We want everyone to feel at home here. The church has a permanent ramped entrance, and there are no steps to the pews. Some pews are designed to accommodate wheelchairs. Large print service sheets and hymn books are available, and a hearing loop supports those who use hearing aids. Accessible toilets and baby changing facilities are located in the church hall, and assistance dogs are welcome.

Children and Families

Children and Families are very welcome. At the back of the church, you’ll find a play area with toys and activities for young children. Parents should never worry about little ones wriggling or making noise. It’s part of the joy of worship.
