Our popular Summer Fair is back again this year, with all the stalls and activities you love. There’ll be new-to-you bargains, delicious treats, activities and games – plus we hope to have donkey rides!

If you’re looking for something to do with your children or grandchildren on Saturday 21st June, then we would love to welcome you to St Peter’s church. It’s worth visiting for the 900 years of history, beautiful stonework, and stunning mural above the main arch. Plus you can see our beehives, and maybe learn a little bit about how honey is made.

Everyone is very welcome, especially children, it is free entry and there will be lunch items as well as cakes etc for sale. See you there!

Welcome!

For over 900 years our church has existed in Birstall, but we’re not just an ancient building – we’re a living church.

The people who now worship here are determined that it should be relevant in the 21st century. Our purpose in a nutshell is: to be different and make a difference. We seek to do that through the priorities of Worship, Fellowship, Discipleship, Ministry and Mission.

The parish of Birstall: St Peter is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Leeds’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
