All are welcome to join the Ministry Team on Fridays for the Office of Morning Prayer.
Morning Prayer on weekdays is from the Church of England publication “Common Worship – Daily Prayer”. We have copies of the printed book in church, but people with smartphones generally use the Daily Prayer app which provides the prayers and readings for each day. A special service commemorating Alfred the Great and honouring his legacy, including a psalm sung in Anglo-Saxon (as translated by the King) and, following the service, a procession and prayers at the grave site in Hyde Abbey Gardens. All welcome!

As the former lay church for Hyde Abbey, St Bartholomew’s holds this special service every year on the Sunday nearest to the anniversary of the King’s death on 26 October 899.
