Walks from the church

(All are dog-friendly, but please keep dogs away from ground-nesting birds)

See nature at its best and enjoy the wonderful views up and down the river.

There are three circular riverside walks from the church:

a. Just around the River Bank (1 mile):

Down Pilots’ Way (opposite the Ship Pub), through the gate on the 'left' and go 'right' down to the Foreshore, 'left' around the Foreshore and back up through the field. This walk can be walked clockwise or anti-clockwise.

b. To Nacton Foreshore: (4 miles)

Walk down Pilots’ Way through the gate and walk 'right' to the Foreshore. At Boardwalk end take 'right', going up gradient on the cliff path to Nacton: return along the Foreshore. (This can also be walked going out along the Foreshore and back on the cliff path.)

c. Towards Levington Marina (3 miles):

Walk down Pilots’ Way through the gate and walk straight on. As you meet the river wall, turn 'left' and around the inlet and on towards the Marina. Turn round at the Marina (or before) and return along the Foreshore, but where you originally met the Creek, continue further along the river wall.    Just before trees take the boardwalk on the 'right' down the steps. This takes you back up the hill and back to your car (and the pub!).
