To marry in a particular church by law you need to have a connection with it:

Live within the chosen Church Parish

Have a parent who’s usual place of residence has been within the chosen church parish for at least six months during the applicants lifetime

Regularly attend worship at chosen church

Parent(s) regularly attend worship at chosen church

Applicant Baptised/Confirmed at chosen  church

Parent/Grandparent married at chosen  Church

Occasionally marriage can take place by licence
