St Paternus is the only Church in our large rural parish, which is home to over 500 people.

We are fortunate to be able to serve a regular, active and supportive number of church goers and we are an outgoing Church who strongly believe and make it known that we are here for the whole community.

Owing to its large size, the church building is attractive for holding larger events such as concerts and those of special interest and so is extremely well placed to be the focal point of the community.

We constantly strive to reach out to people of all ages with special services, such as Christingle at Christmas and the Saturday Sundown Service at Easter, being particularly popular with children, their parents and their wider families.

But in all the above we are hampered by one thing - the lack of toilet facilities. This disadvantages both the elderly and young alike and we see it as a major hurdle in our ambition to become a major community asset.

We are seeking to raise sufficient funds to enable the building and facilities to be constructed. With these up and running we can move forward and realise our ambition.
