Sunday Services at St. Oswald’s are usually held at 11am. Occasionally special services may be held at an earlier time such as Christmas Day or Remembrance Sunday. We also have regular Tuesday morning said communion service held at St. Margaret’s Hall, Main Street, Methley at 10am.

Church open to visitors

During winter months church is open to visitors every Sunday afternoon for prayer, reflection or to view our historic grade 1 listed building from 2-4pm.

Opening times are subject to available volunteers on a rota. On occasions we may not be able to open as planned.

If you are travelling some distance to visit please message via Get in touch to check that church will be open. We can also arrange individual visits at other times, please contact the Churchwardens Stuart and Peter via Get in touch to arrange.

Coffee Morning

All welcome for tea, coffee and cakes at the parish hall. Also our local councillors will be attending for their monthly surgery. Most Coffee Mornings are organised to raise funds for a specific charity.

St. Oswald's Day commemorates King Oswald of Northumbria, known for spreading Christianity and setting up the cross. The Collect for St. Oswald’s Day prays that, inspired by his example, we may bear the cross, turn others to the light of Christ, and be faithful servants of the gospel
