Despite a wet start to the morning, volunteer's of all ages from the Church and the wider community came together for three hours, to make a difference on Saturday the 6th June in tidying up the churchyard, with an assortment of gardening tools and fortified with cups of tea and biscuits, they set to work in clearing weeds, grass and dead floral tributes from around the Tower and the Garden of Remembrance.
The Church's Tower Captain Mr. Daniels, recently played host to groups of visiting Bellringers one group of 19 members from St. Botolph's Church, Hackney, Aldersgate, London were on a bellringing tour. When asked by the Verger Mrs Horan, why were they on tour the reply was its fun, try different bells as all towers are unique and to tick off another tower on their bucket list.
