Irstead: St Michael's
Norwich
St Michael's is a Broadland church of character and great charm situated in the hamlet of Irstead,150m from public moorings on the River Ant just below Barton Broad on the Norfolk Broads.
We are a small congregation and would in the past have looked forward to welcoming you to usual our regular Eucharist service on a Sunday morning with coffee and fellowship after, though sadly this has not been possible since March.
Our recorded services continue to be broadcast every Sunday morning and we hope you can join our Rector, David Smith and members of the community for our weekly Morning Worship Service on the Sunday Worship Resources 2021 page.
All recorded services for 2020 since 25th March 2020 can be found on the Sunday Worship Resources 2020 page. The Church will continue to be open on Wednesdays from 10am - 3pm for private prayer. A hand sanitizing facility is provided at the church with a request to continue to observe social distancing guidelines.
Our Prayer Walk and Church Guide are available online which you may wish to access when visiting the church.
During this time of the pandemic when church services are limited we are missing much needed revenue from our regular collections. Any donation that you are able to give will most gratefully recieved. It is now possible to make a donation online directly to St MIchael's Church through the Norwich Diocesan website. More details can be found on our News Page.
For any further information please contact Claire Penstone-Smith on 01692 630580 or look at NIB our Parish Magazine for local contacts for help and support. The current issue is available by clicking on the link at the side. Thank you.

Neatishead: St Peter's
Norwich
Welcome to the church of St. Peter's, Neatishead.
We are very sorry to report that services at our churches in our Benefice have now been cancelled as a result of the increasing concern about the latest wave of coronavirus. This decision reflects the fact that we are currently in national lockdown. There will be no further public services at St. Peter's for the time being. The church will continue remain open on Tuesdays from 10am to 3pm for private prayer and the regular online Sunday services will carry on as usual. As David says "This is not the Christmas any of us would have hoped for, but please stay safe and know that the core message of Christmas is that God is with us - always - Emmanuel, so that we can still wish each other Happy Christmas, while staying as safe as possible and of course looking to the needs of those around us wherever we can safely help."

Horning: St Benedict
Norwich
Welcome to the church of St. Benedict's, Horning.
Significantly increased COVID infection rates indicate that the new, more infectious strain of Coronavirus is now present in our area and spreading rapidly, and is of course also the reason we are now in Tier 4. The Rector and churchwardens have concluded most reluctantly that continuing public worship services is an unnecessary and unjustifiable risk to our congregations, especially given their age profile. This is a decision which no parish priest ever wants to announce, but the current local progress of this new Coronavirus strain is such that we believe this to be the only safe and sensible course of action, until we can see that the spread of the virus is being brought properly under control.
In the meantime, our weekly on-line worship will continue, and our churches will remain open for individual private prayer at what have become the normal times in the winter months.
Our churches will be open from 10am to 3pm as follows:
Tuesday \- Neatishead
Wednesday \- Irstead
Thursday \- Barton Turf
Friday \- Horning
Saturday \- AshmanhaughSafeguarding
